Waqeel AI

WhatsApp AI legal assistant for India's small lawyers

WhatsApp AI legal assistant for India's small lawyers

About WaqeelAI

Access to legal counsel in India is heavily concentrated in major cities, leaving small-town and independent lawyers with little exposure to the AI tools reshaping the legal profession elsewhere. WaqeelAI was built to close that gap — not by asking these lawyers to adopt a new platform, but by meeting them inside the one they already use every day: WhatsApp.

Bridging the AI gap

The chatbot integrates directly with Meta's WhatsApp Business API, turning a familiar chat interface into a working AI assistant — no new app to download, no interface to learn. Under the hood, WaqeelAI runs on a multi-LLM orchestration layer, routing each query to the model best suited to handle it, rather than relying on a single general-purpose model for every task.

The result is a tool designed around near-zero technological friction: for a lawyer with little to no prior AI exposure, using WaqeelAI should feel no different from sending a message to a colleague. The long-term goal is broader — to make AI-assisted legal work accessible at scale across India's legal industry, starting with the practitioners most overlooked by existing legal-tech products.
